Just wait until you hold this thing in your hand. I have XL hands and generally prefer smaller 3" sized blades (weird right?) but this specific 908 has helped me find love for the larger 3.5" full size blades. If I had to choose one knife for the rest of my life right this moment, this would be it. I own a lot of Benchmades, a ZT, and a CRK. Send the ApostleP the commission, he sold me on it. I have an original 908 Stryker which I use daily, and so I wanted to upgrade, and I'm glad I did. Posted by Daniel C Conrad on 21st Mar 2018īeautiful knife. Carries light, smooth opening M4 tool steel 3,5 inch blade. Posted by Scott Whisnant on 11th Apr 2018 5 Benchmade 908BK-1501 Axis Stryker II Carbon fiber.I will buy another one just in case I lose the one I have. it is one of the sharpest blades ive seen out of the box.the down side is if you dont have a top of the line sharpener you will not be able to put an edge on it. This is the best knife I have ever had! Its a manual knife but i think i like it more then autos or assisted blades. Bought it beacause it was beautiful, use it because it’s such a multitasker. Blade is mean and heavy, a real workhorse. One of my first picks everyday from the abundant collection. Worth every penny! The service from KSF is a big contributing factor as well, they ship promptly, and take great care of their customers! M4 is a fantastic steel, and has stayed razor sharp like it came out of the box. I have been a Griptillian guy for years, this knife is head and shoulders above the Grip! Locks up like a vault, Beautiful styling, but still a great user. Posted by Ronnie Strohmeyer on 8th Aug 2019 I'm going to try and rebend it to a better position, and if I screw it up I guess I'll buy an aftermarket clip. Between the tall pan-head screw benchmade uses and the shallow bend, when I put it in a jean pocket, it hangs on the screws instead of going all the way up into the bend of the clip. It's a deep carry that is not actually deep, and the bend in it is very shallow. The only real "problem" with the knife is the clip. Fine for a working knife, but it is not going to be the greatest slicer ever. The black blade is (I believe) ceracoated, which leaves a fairly thick and rough finish on top of a thick grind. It is very smooth now, but was fairly gritty with some lock stick when new. Basically it needs a good break in period. Everything is coated, so if you take it apart and and buff all the contact surfaces, then oil it, it really improves the feel of the knife. Carbon fiber is well finished and the grinds are even.
